It was a light-air weekend with almost no chance of a race Saturday morning and an even slimmer chance of having one in the afternoon but eventually there was enough breeze last Saturday for a short race. Sunday was almost the same story, so only one race was scheduled and no make-up for the 1st race was planned so we ended up with on 2 races scored.

The first race scheduled on Saturday, August 14th  for the Log Canoes is set for a 10:30am warning signal. The second race for Saturday, August 14th is set for a 2:30pm warning signal.

On Sunday August 15th the race is scheduled for a 10:30am warning signal.

The awards ceremony for all the regattas this coming weekend, including the log canoes will be presented at Harliegh (at the home of Chip and Sally Akridge) around 4:30pm Sunday, August 15th.** Jacket and tie Required**

The Races will be held on the Chester River, and officiated by the RHYC race committee. On Saturday there are two races scheduled, the first with a warning signal at 10:00am and the second race is scheduled with a warning signal at 2:30pm.

On Sunday there is one race scheduled for 10:00am then a lunch break and award ceremony scheduled thereafter.

Sailing Instructions

The weekend started off with thunderstorms Saturday morning that slowly came over the bay, the wise race committee decided to cancel the first race. By the afternoon it was just raining and enough wind for a short race. The wind seemed strong Sunday morning then calmed down a bit, there was a vote for whether or not a second race would be started or not to make up for Race 1 but ultimately the race committee decided not to have a second race.
